WE DID IT!!

We made the move from my parents house to the trailer!

We now fall asleep under the most stars I have ever seen, and wake up to our beautiful trees and mountain scenery!

I have to give my parents MUCH credit for putting up with us. They are saints and we can't thank them enough for helping us out. We moved the Rotties out here today so we are all under the same... smaaaaaalllll.... roof. hehehe

We have TV, Internet, heat and water so we are good to go!

Future site of Tarantula Ridge Ranch

Welcome to our new home on the internet. This site is new and will eventually have loads of stuff on it. We have created this site for our friends and family to be able to keep tabs on us during our move and home building process. We will be posting pictures hopefully every Friday to keep everyone up to date. Have a look around and soon you will see why we chose Colorado for our home.

To the right you see what has become our land's mascot. While we were walking around prospective properties to buy, I was standing at the edge of a ridge overlooking a canyon and enjoying the view. Randy asked me to come with him and he said, "and don't step on the spider." I turned around and here was this little guy walking along behind me. That's when I knew we were on the right piece of land and thats the one we bought. Our real estate broker, Linda Mattson, was relieved because the tarantulas in the area are not usually a selling point. We decided to name the property Tarantula Ridge in honor of our little golden friend.

Not much going on lately... Randy did get the electricity run down to the trailer and he is now working on the water issue. I am starting the transition of moving our stuff from my parents house to the trailer. We keep downsizing.. hoping to upgrade one of these days.

Randy has not moved an inch on the house, so I don't know what we are planning on living in. I gave up trying to figure it out. They messed with the house plans so much that I now hate it. I don't even know if he is planning on going with Yankee Barn Homes now or not. Ask him, if you can't tell by my writing, I am tired of the discussion. He has been happily helping our neighbors get their house going though. Sometimes I don't think he wants me and the kids to move out there cuz then he HAS NO WHERE TO HIDE!! hahaha...

Maybe today wasn't a good day to update the website... Sorry for the rant, I will go back to my packing hell now....

AS FOR EMAIL... well, instead of coming to the Tripod site to check email, and have to type in all our addresses and passwords, I set it up to route email to my hotmail account. When I did that it denied me access to the emails that were already in there... SOOOOO if you have emailed us and we haven't answered, can you resend it, cuz I think those emails are lost in cyberspace somewhere now. Sorry.... Having it forwarded means that I will be able to respond to you much faster.. but still use the addresses found on the FIND US page.
